Sunset of Man
The golden red sun is slipping into the ocean, caressing the face of mankind for the final time. It’s a shame, really, we did it to ourselves. There was no great exodus to the stars for us, no secret cities under the ocean, just humanity being humanity until the end. I cannot even say we tried to preserve our memory for posterity. I know I didn’t.
I am the last one. Every one of Humanity’s great thinkers could not undo what we had done, and it was time to face the end of human history.
I wonder, what those who come next will think of us.
