Thomas came from behind, hugging me.
“What was that about?” he asked.
“Nothing,” I said. But this was everything. We just didn’t know it yet.
In five minutes, Samantha AND CHARLIE came out the door. Samantha immediately headed for Nick N. Charlie looked at Amanda, then headed for Katrina without dropping his gaze.
Amanda was happy for the attention, but Nick J wasn’t too happy. But Miles’s random spaz-attack made everyone laugh as we began our walk back to my house. But his comedic act could only slightly help all the tension forming within our group. Now that everyone had somebody, you would think everything would be Hakuna-Matata, right?
