The Fellowship ch.5
I remember looking over at Christian one more time before I ducked my head down and prepared for the worst. The plane seemed to be going at the speed of light, and for a moment, all was quiet… I was drifting along in space, gazing at all the stars passing by me in a flash… No one’s screams were to be heard, and I was lost in my own world, numb to the choas around me. I thought of all my good friends: Christian, Adam, Brandi, Ryan, James, Liz…. They were all here with me, to the end… the end… For a half second I thought we’d all died, and the plane was far below us, beaten to bits by the rocks on the shore of the island.
I was rudely awakened when I was thrust forward forcefully, and I felt the cold salty water crash against my face. I felt like I was outside of my body, trying desperately to control it. I struggled with my seat belt, and eventually freed myself of the entanglement of the vine-like belt. I swam upwards, desperate for air, but something hit me, and things started to go black.
