Eva swallowed. “You really do look just like you did then.” She began, “I don’t know what I can do to-”
“Bring her here, and I’ll remove the curse.” Helen interrupted, crossing her arms over her chest. “It’s you I’ve been yearning to hurt, not her. Remember, Eva,you knew how powerful your grandmother was, even I knew.” She smirked.
“Honestly, Arelia-”
“I told you, call me Helen.”
“Helen, I don’t see how you can hold a grudge for this long. I was young, and stupid, and didn’t know what I was-” Eva was blown backward suddenly as Helen’s features contorted with rage.
“Hold a GRUDGE ?! You think this is a grudge? You weren’t young and stupid, you were malicious and calculating. You struck out at the one girl in your village who wished upon every star that she could leave that terrible place, never marry, and become a nun. Did you know that? Did you? You struck me down before my wedding out of jealousy and malevolence. This is your comeuppance.” With that, she raised her hands, and pointed them at Eva.
