Superheroes, Once Again, Carl's Story (the early years) chapter 1
Carl hadn’t always been a superhero, he started life as an ordinary boy. Maybe he was a bit bigger than the other babies. Maybe he nursed with more gusto and soon ate his share of Cheerios and other toddler food.
It wasn’t until his teen years that he and his parents began to notice changes. As a freshman in the local private high school he joined the lacrosse and soccer teams and bulked up quickly.
His physical stature changed, he became broader across the shoulders and his legs and abdominal muscles defined out. He was soon as large as some of the seniors walking around.
The coaches pulled him aside and admonished him for using steroids. But Carl wasn’t using drugs. No, he worked out with the other athletes in the school weight room. While the others were joking around and playing grab-ass Carl paid attention to his body and paid attention to the workout. He could visualize his muscles and concentrated on defining that movement to be as efficient as possible.
