What Guys Want, The Other Point of View
Becca tried a little wave, but Jameson was too busy inspecting his beer.
“What are you doing?” Sassy queried testily.
“Nothing,” Becca shrugged, playing it cool, “I’m just maintaining his attention. It’s a strategy.” She suddenly became very intent on inspecting her own beer.
With a playful punch to the arm, Sassy began the inquisition, “So, what did you two talk about?”
With an upward-aimed sigh, Becca puffed a bang back into place, “Nothing. I just blathered on like a total idiot.”
“Ooh,” Sassy moaned, “You did the question thing again?”
Becca didn’t answer.
“You did, didn’t you?” Sassy pressed, “How many times have I told you not to do the question thing? Guys don’t want to think. They just want to look at your tits and think they’re smart. Asking questions makes both nearly impossible!”
“Think I blew it?” Becca asked, her pale blue eyes fixed on her friend.
“Look, just cause we’re friends, I’ll go check with his wingman.” Before protest could be lodged, Sassy was gone.
