I like this. Always been a big fan of heroines, and this one seems like an especially interesting character. Great little sequence that leaves open plenty of possibilities for both sequels and prequels. Bravo!

Oh, there is a typo in the first sentence though. I think you meant “Her chest is on fire” rather than “in on fire.”

I’m also a big fan of heroines, having fancied myself to be one when I was little. (OK, fine maybe I still do sometimes…)
This was tantalizing, just giving your reader enough information to have some idea of what’s going on but still wanting more. Excellent last line.
