Snuffy the dragon – oh, how he hated that name – wanted to see the world but his father and mother had forbidden him to leave the cave for at least a hundred years. There was just not enough to do in the cave. He could practice his firebreathing. He could hide his older sister’s sunstone. He could even try to throw some rocks at the dwarfs. But firebreathing made him hiccup, his sister would poke his other eye out and the dwarfs got really angry when you threw rocks at them and besides they were really hard to hit. So Snuffy sat at the entrance and pined. Then just as he started to doze off a large shadow darkened the cave. Snuffy stuck his nose out just far enough to be crushed by a bulldozer that had fallen off the mountain.
