A Day in the Life of Pitfall Harry
Clad in a pith helmet and poplin safari jacket, our
venturesome hero boldly placed his right boot atop
the head of the first crocodile. Just as the croc began to
submerge, Harry lept atop the heads of the second and third
reptiles to arrive safely on the opposite side of the bog.
When he reached the stack of hand cut gold bars,
he placed them gingerly inside his double threaded ripstop
sack.
As he slung the heavy sack along his shoulder,
the hollow beaded sound of a rattlesnake
stopped him cold. The snake lunged for Harry’s leg, injecting
it’s hemotoxic venom into his bloodstream. Harry fell to the ground, spilling the gold ingots from his sack.
Harry next unsheathed his combat knife and made a
rough-and-ready tourniquet to cause the blood vessels
in his leg to become occluded. The thought of death did
not trouble our impressive adventurer, for the tarpits,
quicksand, crocodiles, scorpions, rattlesnakes, and
fire traps were all in a day’s work.
