The Exiliration Of Travel
Joan and Gia approach their hotel. They have been flying for what it seems like all day. The journey to Scotland has been a grueling one. They did not expect the flight to be that long.
As their hotel comes closer in view they are amazed.
The building is looming large over head. The lighting on the property makes the hotel appear to be glowing. The building with all its ambient light around it, appears to be painted in gold. Its ornate detail comes to life under the light and the shadows.
“Have you ever seen something so beautiful?â? Gia asked Joan.
“Nope it sure is incredible.â? Was Joan’s reply.
In their jet lagged disorientation, the two women feel strangely calm and relaxed. Maybe it was their fatigue setting in or the long flight. But they knew that they were somewhere far away. They could feel it in their soul. They have traveled! They have made it to a place they only heard about, in childhood bedtime stories. “This is going to be an unforgettable spring breakâ? Gia confesses.
