The View

Joan looks around the room still half alseep. After surveying the room she gets out of bed and walks over to the window. She pulls back the heavy drape and peers out the window. It is nearly sunset from what she can see.

As she looks out the window she can see rolling hillside. Their room must be high up because she can even see the water. Joan thinks to herself, she did not recall seeing any water when they came. She was not even aware how close they were to the ocean.

Gia walks into the room still towel drying her hair. “Hey your up”, she says as she looks at Joan. “Isn’t this country georgeous?”, Joan said with her back to the window.
“Let me see,” Gia says as she joins her cousin at the window. “Wow we are really close to the water. I didn’t notice when we got here”. Joan looks at Gia. “We were so tired when we checked in that we didn’t realize what time of day it was”, she says with a laugh.

“Well its almost six pm. So that means we were asleep all day”, Gia says as she consults the clock.
