The Truth

“I honestly dont even remembmer why we broke up” Theresa admitted. “I do remember that we argued all the time about the most random things, and that it was basically everything twoards the end, that would make us get into a fight.” James said.

“I think we were just getting bored with ourselves and what life was doing to us” Theresa pondered. “Well I really can’t say for sure, it’s been a few months, and honestly I don’t remember everything that happened.” James confessed. “But I do know, that during that time, you weren’t happy, and it killed me to see you so unhappy. And I couldn’t reach out to you because by then you had pushed me away” James said.

“Oh… yes I remember now.. It was right around the time that my parents told me that they were getting a divorce. I was mad at the world at that time. It felt like my world was falling appart.” Theresa admitted. The memories come back to her, a painful reminder of a sad time.The mental revisit has brought tears to her eyes. James steps in to comfort her.
