I am Jesse
Ceirra turned towards me, her expression cold, “So what did you think of Math class on Friday?”
I blushed, thinking about how my stupid Ex had gotten a detention. She had still been my girlfriend at that point, but I had smiled because I was happy she’d gotten a detention. So sick. “Er… it was ok,” I replied cautiously.
Her eyes narrowed; I wondered if she was thinking that too. I looked away from her scathing gaze, wondering why I suddenly felt so self-conscious. It must be her eyes, they were so all-seeing; I felt totally naked when she looked at me like she could see all my imperfections. I scowled, wondering why that bothered me.Who cares what she thinks? She’s just a stupid emo-girl.
When I glanced at her again she was still looking at me, but her gaze was no longer scathing, it was curious. “What?” I asked blatantly.
“Why are you frowning like that?” she asked. It took me a second to realize she’d asked me a question, because I’d been distracted by her eyes. All the hate was gone; they were soft.
