Finally Home

Thirty minutes later, James reaches the city limits. Pretty soon he will be pulling into his parking garage. It feels great to be back in the city. Anywhere else he goes, he feels out of place. Like he doesn’t belong there. But not here. This place comforts him, body and soul

As he parks his Jeep in the garage, he feels an overwhelming sense of relief. He is no longer worried about Veronica, and her whereabouts. He knows that nothing bad has happened to her. Now is the time to go upstairs and relax.

James puts his key in the door to unlock it. He proceeds to walk through the door to his foyer. Finally he is home. He takes a deep relaxing breath. It seemed like he was gone longer than he really was. For some reason when he returns it always smells like fresh paint.

He walks over to his answering machiene and sees if he has any messages waiting for him. He has four. He reminds himself to check it later. It’s time to realx on his balcony.
