Finally Home

Thirty minutes later Rory reaches the city limits. Pretty soon he will be pulling into his parking garage. It feels great to be back in the city. The place where he feels the most at home. Anywhere else he goes, he feels out of place. Like he doesn’t belong there. But not here. This place comforts him, mind and body.

As he parks his Jeep in the garage he feels an overwhelming sense of relief. He is no longer worried about Veronica, and her whereabouts. He knows that nothing bad has happened to her. Now is the time to go upstairs and relax. His loft is only an elevators ride away.

Rory puts his key in the door to unlock it. He proceeds to walk through the door to his foyer. Finally he is home. He takes a deep relaxing breath. It seemed like he was gone longer than he really was. For some reason this place always smells brand new.

He walks over to his answering machiene and sees if he has any messages waiting for him. The number blue is glowing on the indicator screen, displaying his messages.
