khepa: I’m not sure it hits on all four cylinders. The repetition gives the piece a bit of a poetic cadence, which is nice, but it also doesn’t leave you any room for subtlety – of course, this may be due to the inherent limits of the ficlet form, so I wouldn’t take this too much to heart (ficlets really don’t allow for subtlety).

This intrigues me. I would definitely like a sequel to see where this goes.
