Nolee's Story part 4

It was the perfect temperature outside, not too hot or cold. There was a light breeze. Nolee smiled and relaxed as she walked along. The clouds were getting darker, a sign of rain. Nolee loved the rain. Noone was outside.
She went to the park and lay down on the grass. Freedom is good, she thought. It began drizzling. She closed her eyes. She began remembering her past. Her father took her to this park all of the time. The cops hated Nolee because of her father and she hated the cops because of him. Her father had been a cop. One day, he went to jail for nearly killing an officer. After he was arrested, he never told why he did it. A few days later the cop died. A day after that, so did her father. Nolee blamed the cops. All of them.
Nolee was the only one who knew why he’d gone after the cop. She kept it a secret.
Nolee’s mother was killed, too. Nolee thought she knew whose fault that was as well. After she’d died, a story surfaced. That was when her life went downhill.
