The food was delicious and as we ate, we talked and laughed some more. Then, all of a sudden, Stephen brought out a chocolate cake.

“Oh my god, I love cake!â€? I gushed and then blushed.

Stephen just laughed and cut me a piece. “So, um you had fun tonight, right?â€?

“Of course, I love hanging out with you.â€?

“So um do you um want to do something after school tomorrow?â€? he looked uncomfortable.

“I would, but I’m babysitting tomorrow.â€?

“I’ll join you.â€? He seemed desperate to redeem himself from the kiss.â€? I mean if that’s okay.â€?

“Yeah, that’d be great.â€? And I went so far to give him a sweet hug and a peck on the cheek. That’s enough for now.
