Considering
Charlotte liked Viktor. Though honestly she couldn’t say why. She supposed he might have scared some with his unbridled intensity, and indeed she herself was made anxious beneath the gaze of those deep crimson eyes. And yet she felt an undeniable attraction to him. It was odd indeed.
“Come,” said Viktor, standing up from his seat. “I want to show you something.”
Charlotte stood.
“Where are we going?” she asked anxiously as they left the cafe and headed toward the forest. Sure, she liked the guy, but she wasn’t ready to traipsing after him just anywhere.
Viktor grinned, his face alighting. “It’s a surprise,” he answered softly. He lead her through the forest, his lithe body easily slipping through the trees.
“Viktor?” she sqeaked, glancing up through an opening in the thick canopy. “Viktor, it’s getting late.”
Viktor took her hand, sending shocks through her body.
“Trust me,” he whispered. It was rather an ironic thing to say, actually. I mean, considering he wanted to kill her…
