Man It's Hot!
I sat slumped in the bus seat, a frown planted firmly on my face. I might have to spend my summer here in hicktown, but I didn’t have to like it. I pulled my side-swept bangs from my now sticky face, becoming frustrated already at how humid it was down here. I could feel the sweat rolling down my back, glad that I had brought nothing but tank tops and shorts.
I heard the bus make a wheezing sound as it came to a stop. I peered out the window, but quickly ducked my head. Gramps was standing there with a bouquet of daisies, my favorite flower, and a happy grin.
He seemed so eager to help, so I let him load himself down with my luggage, and sweetly gave him a hug. I smiled back at Gramps, hoping the summer would go by quickly.
