Clean Slate
Vanessa pours over an atlas. She thinks about moving west. She has never seen the west coast before. Or even the mid west for that matter. She has spent the majority of her life on the east coast. She realizes that she would like the oportunity to explore. Put life aside for a while and just do something crazy.
She decides to go to Wyoming. A place she thinks about as she looks at it on the map. She imagines the bluest skies and huge mountains. She pictures the rocky mountains and the crisp air. It makes her inspired to travel.
Next she writes down directions to follow. She plots the route as she goes. Leaving Ohio is the only thing currently on her mind. She is sick of the cornfields and the endless nothing that has taken over her life.
Maybe things will be diffrent in Wyoming. She can learn to ride horses and to survive on her own. Maybe she will learn the meaning of free will. Nobody will know her, she can have a clean slate. Next she thinks of a new name, to begin her new life with.
