It’s interesting to see the hope flow through her after she was described as so sad in the last ficlet… She’s cute and hyper now, like a puppy. But, I guess she hasn’t seen any of her kind in quite some time. In the 6th paragraph, I think you meant bring himself out of her arms.

I don’t blame her for being so excited. She sees her possible freedom in him.
