I am true to myself
I wonder where the breeze goes
I hear the world talking to me
I see for miles around

I pretend my leaves go on grand adventures when they leave me
I feel the breeze waving hello when it passes by
I touch the ground, and feel the movement in the earth
I worry that one day, I’ll be gone, without a trace
I cry, because the world has forgotten my meaning on Earth
I am alive

I understand why I am here
I say to you, remember your place in the world
I dream the world was balanced between humans and nature
I try to keep the world from forgetting
I hope that the world will remember me, and all of nature, and our meaning to the world
