Still Dreaming
...”and then they played the most beautiful song and we had out first dance as a married couple,” Angela finished, and I smiled. I loved hearing about her dreams. They always brightened my day.
“How come you always have these dreams about us and I never remember mine? Its hardly fair.”
“It sounds to me like you’re complaining about them, Nick,” Angela laughed.
“What? Of course I’m not, I love hearing everything thats on your mind,”I objected. “Never stop dreaming.”...
But of course, all good things must come to an end. One week after this scenario, Angela was out with Nick and her friends, having a few drinks,of course,but apparently a few too many;Angela went home that night with another guy.When Nick found out,he called her and dumped her right then.
Angela was heartbroken and confused,but most of all,she missed Nick.She woke up one morning after a surprisingly good night of sleep,and,unable to bear it any longer,called him.He answered the phone;
“Hello?”
“Nick?”
“Angela?”
“I’m still dreaming.”
