So Sunday, two days later, I was dressed and heading to the car. This time it was just me and Katy. Jake was not riding with us and Patrick couldn’t go because of tutoring Nancy.
We arrived at the party and I pretty much followed Katy around picking up pieces of gossip that hung in the air. Katy was bored of wandering fast so I walked around by myself quite quiet and content until my vision fell on Jake. I walked over hoping he would speak to me.
“Jake look..â€? I said to fast. “ It’s not that I don’t like you and I know you were probably confused because of the kiss at the championship game and I was too, but about the other night I really didn’t feel well and I didn’t mean for that to happen and..â€?
“Janeâ€? he interrupted. “It’s fine. I thought you went outside because well, I thought you knew…â€? I felt my face twist in confusion. “Knew what?â€? I said He looked uncomfortable
