Thora sits alone in the kitchen drinking her glass of champaigne. The inital shock and surprise is slowly wearing off. She begins to think about Chris’s good news. She realizes that he is super excited about this job offer. And it would probably be a big move for him, career wise.

She thinks about what that would mean, if they did move to Ny. They would have to leave this house. That she loves so much. To that effect, she reflects upon that day, when they first saw this house. She felt drawn to this place, like something inside it was calling to her.

Thora begins to break down and cry. She becomes emotionally overwhelmed by all the good news. It starts to frighten her. She does not want to rain on Chris’s parade. But she doesn’t think she can leave this house. She adores this house. She feels like she belongs here. Ever since her and Chris began to date, she would fantasize about them getting married and rasing children here. This is her dream home! Leaving isn’t an option.
