The mist hung low over the trees as she crept through the silent field.Under her feet, the grass crackled, encrusted with frost.She looked over her shoulder to the farmhouse behind her, checking to make sure there were no lights on.Only one light blazed in one window; hers.And that was ok, because the one person who truly knew where she was going would never ever tell.She would never betray her to their parents, no matter what happened.

In the next copse of trees, she saw the what she was looking for.He was stooped close to the ground, watching her as she walked towards him.It was only a few more steps to be free,at least for tonight.

As she took those last few exhilarating steps, he reached out his hand to draw her in.They were together again.

His face lit up as he stared into her eyes, drawing her closer for a kiss.Even the smell of him made her happy, his warmth against her made her feel safe.She loved him more than anything in the world.But she knew they couldn’t go on this way forever.
