$130 for new components and accessories.

It’s a hell of a lot cheaper than my old bike. That one was $2200 new. But man, was it sweet!

Yeah, I’ve taken a step down in build here, but it’s a good, solid bike…just not new.

I just got done running the new cables for the shifters and brakes. Next, I’m gonna put the new seat on.

I’m so excited!

It’s sitting there, in the bed of my truck. I want to go to the trail right now!

I spin the crank and run the front derailleur through the gears…smooth.

I want to hit the trail now!

But I’ve gotta wait on the shipment. The camelbak…the clipless pedals…the truck-bed mount.

And where the hell did I put my oh-so-flattering spandex shorts!?

A little more work and preparation…

But on Saturday…Oh yeah…Saturday, I’ll taste freedom for the first time in five years.
