Lost
“I miss you, Syd,” Eri said, and for the first time since my best friends death I heard honesty.
Something touched my shoulder. I turned around, rudely, squinting my eyes. Eri waited patient as ever.
No one was there, just some stupid little prank on the grieving girl.
I reminded myself to keep my head up, but it was little jokes like these that made me shatter. I used to love it, though, especially when he played them on me…
I crave for his skin and those warm brown eyes.
Eri stared at me with wide green eyes, his cropped hair still managing to shadow his face, little fracturing arrows pointing to the sparkle on his cheeks, the sharp angelic features that lit up his face.
“I miss happiness,” I said with a grin expression and sarcastic sigh.
“Sydney, I mean,” he rarely ever struggled for words. For as little talking as he did, and as much listening as he did in comparison, the few words he said always counted. Now, though, it seemed he was as lost as I was.
