I drove up in front of her house, feeling extremely slick. I love this car. I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Ceirra answered it quickly, and I noted that she wasn’t wearing quite as much eye-liner. I grinned, “Hey.”
“Hey,” she replied, looking nervous. I offered her my arm and turned to walk her back to the car. She froze.
“What?” I asked casually.
“You have got to be kidding me,” she said, glaring at my car.
I glanced at it, “Uh, no. I’m not actually.”
She stared at it, “What is it?”
“That,” I replied, “Was my actual birthday present. However, I carpool to school with two other guys, so it doesn’t work. The Solara is actually my Dad’s car, but we switch around depending on who needs more than two seats. It’s a Saturn Sky, if you were wondering.”
She shook her head, muttering to herself as she let me lead her towards it. I opened the door, letting her slide into the comfortable seats before walking around the car and sliding in myself. I pulled out onto the road, “So where to?”
