Oh My Gosh!
“Nice, um pleased, to see you. I mean meet you,” I muttered, my words tumbling over each other. Great job! Now he thinks your an idiot!
“You too.” He put out a hand, a really tanned hand, that I quickly shook. As he pulled his hand back I realized his hand was now covered with sweat. My sweat. Please don’t start blushing, I begged myself. But I could feel my cheeks growing pink. I ducked my head, and took a seat in the corner. The boy, or man as I really should say because there was no way a boy could be so muscler, turned back to Gramps.
“I really should get started.”
“This is my granddaughter. She’ll be your extra pair of hands.”
The man looked over his shoulder at me and winked. Oh my gosh!, I screamed inside. Gramps began sorting through his papers, so I trailed the man outside. He began getting his tools together and I was able to take in every inch of him.
