Suddenly shouting came from the back room, and Anna didn’t understand why the door needed to be shut since it didn’t block anything out.
“If you would just give her a CHANCE ” Jack would start but Randy would cut him off “look at her Jack! Have you completely lost your mi-” but Jack would come back in defense “What’s it MATTER what she LOOKS like Randy?! She’d be good help around here and you know it! Don’t you remember what I looked like when I came in here two years ago looking for a job?” Then it got quiet, and Anna couldn’t hear much more. She felt akward standing in the front room while two men were arguing over in the back. “Should I just run out the door? I wouldn’t be so much trouble to either of them if I just ran…” but another thought blocked that one “No. You need this job. Just stand here until they come out with a decision. Running will get you nowhere.” Anna sat down in a small chair pushed up against a window frustrated, and folded her arms. Then Jack and Randy appeared from the back,
