The Broken Child
She was woken up by the cat leaping onto the bed and trying to eat her toes. They to the frustration of the cat were enclosed in rainbow toe socks, and only responded with a jolt when the largest toe was bitten and drew blood. Clair jolted awake and pushed Pinecone off the bed and stumbled out into the hall and over to the bathroom only to be greated by the grewsome site of a small child with a broken arm wimpering in the middle of her tiled floor. The white bone covered in a shinging splatering of blood protruded through the skin. She sighed and sat down crossleged on the floor next to the boy preparing to help mend the damage. The child shifted his gaze from the floor to her eyes and the sight suprised him so much so that he fell back down. She lifted him up into her arms holding him close as his blood covered not only the corpse but her pajamas as well. As she passed in front of the mirror all that was seen was a girl holding the body of a mouse with a severed leg.
