UFO LIQUOR RUN

Sechruj walked to the center of the spacecraft, closed his eyes, and passed his fingers through the spherical control system. The amber lights of the ship’s interior dimmed. Sam and Terry looked out the window as the craft ascended, the liquor store a distant dot below them.

Big Ida awoke, walked over to Sechruj, and placed her hand on his green-gray shoulder. “Good morning, baby? Where Petey at? You mind if I smoke in here?”

“Yo Petey, give me a light!” Big Ida yelled.

“Quiet down, Ida. We’re on the move again. No tellin’ where Mr. personality over there is taking us now. Look how high we are – there, look out that window.”

Pete uncorked a bottle of wine and put his arm around Big Ida. “Morning, honey. You think Sechruj could pull this thing through a drive-through or something? Krispy Kremes, maybe?”

“Petey, you crack me up,” she said, kissing him on the lips.

A buzzing sound echoed through the craft and the UFO became unsteady, dropping from near the stratosphere into a large storm cloud formation.
