beautiful story about a son remembering his dad. For some strange reason, it seems like he is deceased, judging by how you word some sentences. Its so very true though the sense of scent and memory.. this was truly a joy to read.

Beautifully written. I especially liked the line, Scent and memory are linked. Have you ever read Diane Ackerman? If not, you might not want to check out her book A Natural History of the Senses. She says something similar about scent and memory in that book.
