I am not much into poetry.

In my arrogant opinion, poetry is art. The ultimate goal of poetry is evoking emotion.

The hair on my arm stood up reading this. It brought back a lot of memories.

Personally, I love poetry, I love how it makes you understand and feel what the person is feeling, without them directly stating it, poetry really does evoke emotion, like Bilfurd said, and that is what this piece did for me. Nice job!
