Jonas Part 66: The Awakening.. Again.
He looked down at the unmoving Amanda. She looked so peaceful. He took her small, tan hand into his strong, pale, cold one. He sat and stared at her for a while, and then turned back to address mine and Sam’s awaiting looks.
“I didn’t ruin her life,” he calmly replied, “I saved it.”
Samantha and I exchanged confused glances.
“What do you mean?” Sam asked. Charlie glanced at her before his eyes wandered to the opening door. Stacy was back, with a glass of icy-cold water and a towel. She dipped the towel in the water and kneeled by Beth’s bed. She dabbed Amanda’s eyes and forehead, and she quickly awoke. Amanda looked around the room.
“Where am I?” she inquired.
“Hi, Amanda,” Stacy began, “This nice boy brought you here. He said that some sort of excitement became to much for you. I didn’t even want to know.” Stacy chuckled. Then, she turned back to me. “Aly, I have to take Beth to ballet. Try not to get in any trouble, okay? And, anyway, where is Nick? Did that kid get himself lost?”
I laughed.
