“Mom?!?” Faith tried to ask calmly, but instead it came out harshly. “What do you need to tell me?”

“Well….. honey….” and then her mom started crying hysterically, but tried to reassure Faith.

“Mom? Is he de….”

“No! No.. not at all, but he has been moved into Critical Care.”

Suddenely, the room was spinning around Faith’s head and her mom was just a blur. But when the world was finally all right again, she felt a sharp pang in her left cheek.

“What the hell?!?” she stuttered.

“What’s wrong sweetie?”

“Uhh… nothing.”

What was going on with this world? Mia died. Ethan was in the hospital. Victoria was almost arrested and Allie had a mental breakdown becuse of her boyfriend. What was in store for her? It had all happened in like, less than a week. So much for the greatest school year ever.
