The lake shimmered in the late summer sun, casting a glare upon anyone who set there eyes upon it. It was a peaceful day, the breeze blowing gently across the cattails and a wild turkey gobbling somewhere in the brush. Yes, it was a perfect day to just set down your beach chair and relax. And this was exactly what one girl did, staring across the lake into another world.

“Holy fudge monkey!” The girl cried, jumping what seemed to be at least ten feet in the air. She stood up, stumbling on a rock as she turned around. She gasped as she fell backwards, heading head first into the water. After flailing frantically under the water like a mad woman, she finally poked head head above the surface. She glared up at the shoreline, looling for whoever scared the living daylights out of her. Finally her eyes came to rest on a boy standing on the other shore, grinning evily and holding a BB gun

“Sorry there ma’am! thought I saw something from across the lake! Looked mighty like a turkey, from over here!”
