“No…I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to-”

“No, you didn’t mean to, but that doesn’t change anything now, does it?!The best thing you can do is not tell anyone and just leave me alone. I think I at least deserve that,” she said, pausing to look at his face for agreement. Seeing it there, she sighed and said,” I guess I’ll come back, but not for long.”

“OK, ” he said, staring at the ground in shame.

They walked the rest of the way back to the dorm in an awkward silence, both refusing to look at the other. They both had things to be ashamed of, secrets that needed to be kept.

When they had finally hiked up all of the flights of stairs and could see the door, Izzy came running down the hall towards them. “Thank God!” she yelled, seeing Rachel.

She immediately pulled out her phone and dialed a number. “Hey, Chris, ” she said quickly. “Ty found her! She’s here. Just come back.Yeah, I’ll make sure she doesn’t leave.”

Then she turned to Rachel and whispered, in scary voice,”How could you?”
