Morgan-Goddard

There are three kinds of people in the world. There are, of course, the religious ones, the ones who think Morgan-Goddard heralds the end of days, the return of a messiah, etc. There are the anarchists, the ones who’ve embraced Morgan-Goddard as an excuse to do anything; those who had jobs before M-G’s was discovered haven’t been to work in weeks and those who didn’t… well, what would you have expected?

And then there are the anxious ones, the ones who go about their routines as if Morgan-Goddard isn’t visible in the daylight, working and paying their bills like it matters. This is the part that surprises me the most. The religious mania was a given, so was the “party like it’s 1999” crowd. But the ones who get up in the morning with a slightly pained look around their eyes, and go on like everything will always be the same?

If this is ever found and understood, know this: there were those who kept on until the end, whether in denial or quiet dignity, who faced the end like every other day of their lives.
