“What’s our next move?â? Merc spat back before he could catch himself. The rage had boiled over the edge, nearly replacing the calm elvish exterior with the disgusting beast that had existed before it had been hidden by extensive biotechnological surgery. Deep breaths brought the Elf back to a more reasonable level of calm.
“We knew the Cajuns could not be trusted,” the slight accent of money mingled with all the words as the Elf spoke them, “but his attempt at murdering you puts things on a more serious level.”
“No shit.” Brak replied, the Elf cringed slightly at the coarse language. He started pacing in front of the large bay window that took up the majority of the apartments wall. The sunlight causing his slicked back, cocaine white hair, to shimmer.
“We will need to hit them back obviously. The council will have to get together and make a decision. Lay low and do not do anything stupid,” The Elf said coldly and hung up.
“Like hell I’m gonna lay low,” Brak growled softly, “some revenging is required.”
