The Moon Was Full

Why had those robbers stolen the coffin and body of one long since dead?

That night as I gazed out of my bedroom window, the moon was full.
I felt a shiver go through my body, a strong sensation, all the hairs of my body stood on end and seemed to grow in seconds.

I awoke in alley at daybreak, my clothes tattered and torn, blood all over me.
I stood up, shakily, knees buckling. Behind a trash dumpster I saw her. A woman, unmistakably. Upon closer inspection, she looked familiar, though her face was mutilated.
It was the receptionist at Dr. Proto’s office.
I was horror struck. What had I done? And why?
I had to get away. How could I explain my appearance.
