A Dog In The Night
I grinned. My heart beat out of my chest. Her eyes grew large. The thrill, the excitement of my dreams, I felt more alive then ever before.
Blood trickled out of the young woman’s mouth. I placed her lifeless body on the ground and slowly walked away. Unseen and unheard by neighbors. Not even a dog in the night made a sound.
I could live with the nightmares.
What was happening to me? I woke up sweating bullets.
After that last kill I felt relief for the remainder of the month.
But I would kill again. I knew it.
