“You will? Kay, SWEET ,” I sighed with relief.
“Okay, so we can call Kevin.. how are you guys planning on getting there?” Joe asked.
I looked over at Sam. “Piggy-backing it, baby!” she whispered.
“Um, don’t worry, we’ll get there,” I replied, trying not to let my anxiousness show through my voice.
“Alrighty then,” Joe answered, using his girlfriend’s signature phrase.
“See you guys there, bye.”
“Bye.”
I hung up the phone.
“How long should it take us to get there by.. um.. piggy-back?” Amanda inquired.
“Not long,” Charlie answered, “About five minutes, actually.”
Mine and Amanda’s mouths were hanging open.. we couldn’t help it.
“But-but-but! It takes twenty minutes by car!” I exclaimed.
“Yeah,” Charlie gave us a wierd look, “So?”
We looked at eachother and shrugged.
“Let’s go,” Sam said, heading towards the back door.
We all followed. When we got outside, I climbed on to Sam’s back and Amanda climbed on to Charlie’s.
And then they took off.
