Graduation Part 1

I’m not there yet, but I can see it, I can see it as if it was happening right now. That stage on the softball field, with the principal, the superintendant and all those other important people within the Connecticut Region 8 School District. I can see that picture so clearly.

My friends, and I, all waiting to for our names to be called. When our names get called and we walk across the stage, thats the one moment. Our whole lives will begin at that point in time. This picture, is 8 days away, it feels like forever.

Especially given that 6 years ago, nobody close to me, even myself, would’ve ever seen this happen.

I’ve had good times and bad times in school. As a person living with Asperger’s Disorder, school wasn’t the easiest thing for me. I got suspended multiple times, even expelled in the 6th grade. They sent me to a clinical school. But I was able to return to “normal” public school in the 8th grade.
