dont quite understand the jist of the challenge.. I have to be honest I really dont understand what an unconventional zen master is.. but once I see some examples, I am sure to chip in. :) Welcome to ficlets (yes this is rather late..sorry) Congrats on your achievements. You should be so proud!

Woohoo, I like the sound of that comments:ficlets ratio. Downright awesome! Definite phooey on that old-school zen silliness. I mean really, one hand clapping? I can do that. Tree in the forest? Duh, yes. Simple physics. Fun challenge, could yield some odd stuff.

I entered my own challenge for illustrative purposes and as a tribute.

pyro when i saw the zen master challenge i said to my, to my William. S Burroughs bobble head, “I bet that is Pyro’s challenge.” but me and him and on speaking terms right now so he just nodded.

i meant aren’t on speaking terms he makes so mad sometimes it effects my typing. This is a great idea for a challenge by the way.

Ok, I finally finished my entry. Not entirely happy with the ending. I feel I rushed through it, but I’ve never been good with endings.

Hm… odd I can do. Not sure about the whole “zen master” thing. I hope you’re not going for accuracy, because I know nada about zen masters. Man this is a toughie… I’ll see what I can dig up for myself…

Not thrilled with my entry, and I don’t know how unconventional it is. So, it only ever-so-loosely even fits the challenge. But there it is.
