Remembering Money
Aunt Rose had called me several times, usually to try to convince me to move back home. She was the only one of my relatives who really devoutly felt that way. The only nice thing about all the family drama that was now playing itself out was that I didn’t need to worry about money anymore. Aside from Aunt Rose, all my relatives had sent large cheques to boost my account. I guess there’s something to be said for having rich relatives. I sighed. Rich and annoying.
I’d never been one to cause the drama in my family, so I was getting more attention then I really thought was due. I mean, yeah, most teenagers don’t move across the country, but they do move out occasionally don’t they? And I guess they don’t live alone typically either but I had a lot of help with that. Sharon and Rendor’s gift to me was splitting January’s heating bill between them, and I was eternally grateful to the two of them. All in all, my finances seemed to be settling down quite nicely. I was pretty sure I could make it until May.
