Daydreaming
“Aww, you’re too sweet.â? I told him.
No. Seriously.
“Well, I love being with you.â? Stephen said.
Okay. Is he serious or is he just sucking up from dinner?
“Well, there are three kids to deal with tonight. My sister has friends.â?
“Sounds like fun.â?
“Fun? Not at all.â?
“I’m great with kids.â?
“Uh huh.â? I wasn’t really focusing on this boring conversation anymore because James kept popping into my mind. So much for acting. But still, I couldn’t let go of his eyes and his lip ring and…his lips.
And through these thoughts I knew Stephen was talking but I wasn’t listening. Ah James! I need to figure him out. James, he was different.
I wonder if his name is really James. I wonder if I’m ever going to see him again. I wonder if he just felt like kissing a random girl in the hallway and I happened to be there.
“Jessica!â? Stephen yelled.
I really need to stop daydreaming so much. “What?â?
“We’re going to be late for class.â?
I stood quickly, looking for him. James caught my eye just as we left.
