Friday Night
Our footsteps drummed a steady rhythm over the sidewalk as Thomas wiped away the last of the pizza dinner. Micheal and David were chatting about something that had happened last Wednesday at the Alpha Phi party. Then there was me snuggled close on Micheal’s other side. Pretty soon we had made it back to Micheal’s dorm room where the plan was to play Brawl until we were all too exhausted to keep our eyes open. The boys jumped on the green leather couch while Micheal flicked on his wii and handed out controllers.
“I call Jigglypuff,”
“Jigglypuff is useless. I want Kirby!” I yelled back as I searched the fridge for a soda.
“She’s fine if you take the time to figure it out,” Micheal replied. I rolled my eyes and kissed his cheek, a little wistfully. It was like so many other nights except this was the last time. Tomorrow we were all graduating, and these typical college Friday nights would be no more. I kissed him again and wiped a tear from my eyes.
“C’mon let’s make this night count,”
